Frequently Asked Questions

When are players assigned to a team?

  • Players may be asked to participate in player evaluations, depending on the division.   Following player evaluations, a draft will take place to assign players to teams.
  • For those divisions not requiring player evaluations, team assignments take place approximately one month prior to opening day.

What times are games and practices each week?

  • Proposed schedule is as follows with the understanding that some changes may occur from week to week depending on league events:
    • Mini-Tee Ball: 1 gm/week, 60 minutes on Saturday mornings at Conover Field (off North Post Road). 9:00 - 10:00 or 11:00 -12:00
    • Tee-Ball: 1 gm/week, 90 minutes on Saturdays at Conover Field (Off North Post Road). Some tee-ball may take place early afternoon on Saturdays.
    • Rookies A: 1 gm/week, 90 minutes on Saturday mornings at West Windsor Community Park or R.J. Ward Complex.
    • Rookies AA: 1 gm/week 90 minutes late Saturday morning at RJ Ward Complex.
    • AAA: 2 gm/week, 1 of which is on Saturday and one weeknight. Games targeted for RJ Ward for 2 hours. Weeknight games target 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
    • Minors: 2 gm/week, 1 is Saturday afternoon at Ward, the other is a weeknight game at Ward for 2 hours.
    • Majors: 2 gm/week, trying to avoid Saturdays altogether except for games vs. CPLL. These are at Ward MWTF, with for sure games Friday evening.

When will I know what team my child is assigned to?

  • After the draft, coaches will call or email families to notify them of what team they have been assigned to.  They will provide you information about practice times and locations.  It is important to note that each coach sets the practice schedule for their team.

I have not been contacted by our team manager, what do I do?

  • Not all teams begin practice at the same time, so you may not have missed any activity.  If you have concerns, please email the Division coordinator as it relates to your child.

What will my child need in order to participate?

  • Your child should be prepared to bring sneakers or cleats as well as a glove to all games and practices.  Shoes with metal spikes are not permitted.
  • WWLL will provide a shirt, hat and socks for your child.  Pants will be provided in some divisions.  When pants are not provided, the appropriate pants are baseball or softball pants – jeans and/or shorts are not appropriate attire.
  • Boys will be required to wear athletic supporters.

How often are games and practices?

  • You will be provided a practice and game schedule by your team manager.

What if I have a problem with my child’s Manager, Coach or other League official?

  • Please reach out to your Division Coordinator first for any concerns about your child’s team, coach or manager.
  • If you still have concerns, please contact our Player Agent for a confidential discussion about any concerns.  Player-agent@wwll.org

What if I still have concerns after speaking to the Division coordinator and Player Agent?

  • Please reach out to the League President at president@wwll.org.

Does WWLL provide Financial Assistance to families who cannot afford to pay?

  • Please contact the President at president@wwll.org for more information.  WWLL is able to help families due to the generosity of the Princeton Corridor Rotary.
