7/25/09: Robbinsville LL 9, West Windsor LL 2
Robbinsville defeated the West Windsor 11D team on Saturday, July 25 9-2 at East Windsor to force a one game, winner take-all district championship at 12 noon on Sunday, July 26 at East Windsor PAL field (located off Airport Road near Rte. 33 in East Windsor). 7/22/09: West Windsor LL 9, Robbinsville LL 7
The West Windsor 11D team rallied from a 7-1 deficit in the bottom of the sixth inning in a game that ended with a walk-off two out grand slam HR by Michael Radey. Michael began the inning with a tough five pitch AB that culminated in a strike out but it also was the 85th pitch (maximum pitch limit) for Robbinsville’s impressive starting pitcher, Michael Fischer. Up until that point, Fischer had struck out ten and allowed just two hits. The new Robbinsville pitcher allowed two walks to George Revock and Patrick Tso and then his replacement walked Brian Tso to load the bases. Andrew Schoenblum then grounded into a fielders choice for the second out but a run scored on the play to make it 7-2. Kyle Siegler singled to right to make it 7-3 and then CJ Markisz hit a slow roller to third and was safe to load the bases. Matt Kooker singled to make it 7-4 and then Kevin Murphy singled to center to make it 7-5. That set the stage for Radey’s dramatic grand slam and it also provided a valuable lesson for his entire team (and coaching staff) to never give up and to keep fighting through adversity. Radey and Markisz pitched three innings each and both pitchers battled hard against a tough Robbinsville lineup as Danny McKiernan hit two HRs and Ryan Fischer hit a solo shot for Robbinsville. With the win, West Windsor advances to the Championship Game on Saturday morning at 10 am at East Windsor PAL Field against the winner of the Robbinsville/Nottingham game that will be played Friday evening, July 24 at 7 pm.

The game was tied 2-2 in the fifth when Michael Radey got the rally started with a two out double to right center. George Revock patiently worked a walk and then Patrick Tso followed with a booming three run HR to right center. Earlier in the game, Kyle Siegler contributed an RBI single up the middle that was preceded by a Revock single and a Patrick Tso double.
