Aug 1-WW 10s Finish in 3rd Place in Lawrence Tournament

The WW 10s lost to HTRBA 9-5 in the semifinals of the Lawrence Tournament. WW fell behind 8-1 early but rallied back to cut it to 9-5 and threatened for more in the fifth and sixth but were unable to push more runs across.
The WW 10s finished the summer 12-4 with ten of those victories by the ten run rule. The 10s lost to Nottingham 4-2 in the District 12 Championship and that team went on to beat Toms River 13-0 in the Section 3 Championship and is now one of four teams playing for the NJ State Title. All of the WW 10s made very impressive progress over the last year and the future is bright for this group of fine ballplayers.

The WW 10s beat Nottingham "B" 12-2 in four innings on Wednesday, July 30, to advance to the semifinals of the Lawrence Tournament. Brian Tso and Justin O’Leary each pitched two innings and combined to limit Nottingham "B" to one hit while striking out six. Brian Tso singled and scored two runs, O’Leary doubled and scored two runs, George Revock doubled and drove in three runs, Kyle Siegler tripled and drove in two runs, Patrick Tso got on base all three times and scored a run and Thomas Marsh and Jake Nieschmidt each scored two runs apiece.
West Windsor plays Friday night, August 1, at 8 pm against either HTRBA or Ewing.

The West Windsor 10s beat Lawrence 12-2 in five innings on Tuesday, July 29. Jake Nieschmidt and Patrick Tso shared the pitching duties and combined to strike out seven Lawrence hitters for the victory. Nieschmidt, Kyle Siegler and Matt Kooker made solid defensive plays in the winning effort. George Revock douled twice and scored three runs, Justin O’Leary tripled and scored two runs, Patrick Tso singled twice and scored two runs, CJ Markisz singled twice and Thomas Marsh ended the game with an RBI single in the fifth. The 10s play Nottingham "B" Wednesday night, July 30 at 8 pm in Lawrence in a single elimination game.

The West Windsor 10s beat Sunnybrae 9-1 in five innings on Monday,July 28 as Michael Radey, George Revock and CJ Markisz combined to limit Sunnybrae to one run while striking out five. George Revock paced the offense with two doubles as WW scored eight runs in the first inning and never looked back.

West Windsor beat Ewing 11-0 in five innings to improve its record to 2-0 in the Lawrence Tournament. Kevin Murphy went the whole way, giving up one hit while striking out ten and walking none. Murphy, Thomas Marsh and Justin O’Leary each had two hits to lead the offensive attack. Michael Radey, George Revock and Brian Tso also had RBI hits for West Windsor. West Windsor plays Sunnybrae Monday evening, July 28, at 6 pm.

The scheduled game last night with Lawrence was rained out and has been rescheduled for Tuesday evening, July 29 at 6 pm. The WW 10s next game is Saturday, July 26 at 12 noon at Lawrence against Sunnybrae.

The WW 10s beat Bordentown 13-3 in five innings tonight behind a complete game performance by Kyle Siegler. Siegler gave up three hits while striking out five Bordentown hitters. Patrick Tso led the offense with two hits and three runs scored. Jake Nieschmidt also had two hits and drove in the final run in the fifth to complete the ten run victory. The 10s play again on Thursday evening, July 24 at 6 pm against the host Lawrence team.

West Windsor lost a hard fought battle to an excellent Nottingham team 4-2 this morning at RJ Ward field. WW jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning as Kevin Murphy led off the game with a one-hop double off of the left field fence. Justin O’Leary then followed with a two run home run over the center field fence. Nottingham rallied back to score three runs in the top of the third and the game stayed that way until Nottingham scored an insurance run in the top of the sixth to make it 4-2. West Windsor threatened to score with two baserunners in the second, third and fifth innings but was unable to cash in. WW pitchers Jake Nieschmidt, George Revock and CJ Markisz did an excellent job at keeping the potent Nottingham offense at bay.
The WW 10s are only the third WWLL baseball team in the last decade to play in a District Championship game. Congratulations to Matt Kooker, CJ Markisz, Thomas Marsh, Kevin Murphy, Jake Nieschmidt, Justin O’Leary, Michael Radey, George Revock, Kyle Siegler, Brian Tso and Patrick Tso on a job well done. The team will play in the Lawrence tournament next week.

West Windsor advanced to the 10 YO District 12 Championship Game with a 16-2 win in five innings over Robbinsville. West Windsor will play Nottinghamfor the District 10-Year-Old Championship at 10 am on Saturday, July 19 at RJ Ward field. Kevin Murphy pitched a complete game, giving up four hits while striking out four and walking one. Murphy went 4-4 on the night and scored two runs. Patrick Tso also had four hits and Thomas Marsh, Kyle Siegler, Michael Radey and George Revock all collected two hits on the evening.
Thank you to all those that came out Friday night, we need your help again. Please come out and support your neighbors and friends on their home field tomorrow morning!!

West Windsor beat East Windsor 15-5 in five innings on Thursday, 7/17 to advance to the loser’s bracket finals against Robbinsville at 6 pm on Friday night at RJ Ward field. George Revock paced the WW offensive attack hitting two long home runs and a double while driving in six runs. Justin O’Leary (3-3 and a hit by pitch with two RBI), Brian Tso (3-4 with two RBI), Kevin Murphy (2-5), Patrick Tso (2-3) and Kyle Siegler (2-3) paced the offensive attack. Siegler pitched three strong innings for the win while Revock and CJ Markisz pitched well in relief.

West Windsor won a thriller over HTRBA (Hamilton) 3-2 as it rallied for two runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to overcome a 2-1 deficit. Patrick Tso led off the 6th with a single and then advanced to second on a wild pitch. Kyle Siegler singled to left moving Tso over to third and then Siegler advanced to second on catcher’s indifference. Jake Nieschmidt then hit a topspin grounder to second that was momentarily bobbled as Tso scored from third while Siegler never broke stride from second and came all the way home, scoring the winning run on the play.
Kevin Murphy pitched five impressive innings, allowing four hits and two unearned runs while walking one and striking out three. Jake Nieschmidt and Brian Tso combined to keep HTRBA off the board in the 6th. Justin O’Leary scored WW’s first run when he singled to center, moved to second when the ball skipped past the centerfielder and eventually scored on a wild pitch. Thomas Marsh and Brian Tso made game saving defensive plays in the sixth inning.
HTRBA’s ace (Garey) was outstanding in defeat, striking out seven while giving up four hits and one walk.
West Windsor will now move on to play East Windsor on Thursday, July 17 at 6 pm at Ward. Please come out to support the team.
West Windsor lost tonight to a tough Robbinsville team by the score of 11-8. West Windsor jumped out to leads of 3-0 and 6-3 on the strength of three run home runs by George Revock and Justin O’Leary off of Robbinsville’s ace pitcher. Kyle Siegler had three hits and drove in the other two runs for West Windsor. Kyle Siegler, George Revock and CJ Markisz pitched well in defeat but too many fielding miscues by WW ultimately led to the defeat. WW plays HTRBA Tuesday night, July 15 at Ward at 6 pm.

West Windsor had 19 hits in a 20-2 win over Cranbury Plainsboro at Ward Field. Kyle Siegler continued his torrid hitting with four hits and four RBI, Brian Tso was 3-5 with three RBI, Justin O’Leary was 2-4 with four RBI, Matt Kooker was 2-2 with two RBI, Jake Nieschmidt was 2-4 with an RBI and George Revock 2-3 with an RBI. Kevin Murphy, Jake Nieschmidt, CJ Markisz and Michael Radey each pitched an inning in the victory. West Windsor advances to play Robbinsville LL on Monday night, July 14 at 6 pm at Ward. West Windsor finished pool play at 3-1 following a 14-8 loss to Robbinsville. WW fell behind 6-0 after four innings but was able to rally back to tie the game at 6-6 in the top of the fifth inning. Kyle Siegler led the attack as he reached base all four times, going 2-2 with a walk and hit by pitch while driving in three runs. Justin O’Leary went 3-4 and scored two runs while Brian Tso had a single, two walks and also scored two runs. Michael Radey hit a clutch two out single that tied the game at six in the fifth. Robbinsville broke the game open in their half of the fifth with a combination of solid hits, walks and fielding miscues by WW. The WW 9/10s’ next game is this Saturday, July 12, at 12 noon at RJ Ward field against Cranbury-Plainsboro. Please come out and support the team.

West Windsor improved its record to 3-0 in Pool Play with a 13-0 victory over "6-11" (Trenton) Little League at Lawrence Little League field. Michael Radey, Jake Nieschmidt, George Revock, CJ Markisz and Brian Tso combined to limit "6-11" to one hit while striking out seven "6-11" batters over four innings. Kevin Murphy paced the WW attack with three doubles while George Revock and Thomas Marsh had two hits and two RBI each. Jake Nieschmidt and Justin O’Leary also delivered run scoring singles to aid the WW attack. The last pool play game is Wednesday evening at 6 pm at Sunnybrae as WW squares off against Robbinsville.

West Windsor continued its winning ways with an 11-1 victory over Sunnybrae at Robbinsville. Kevin Murphy pitched a three hit gem, striking out eight while giving up just one run over four innings. Murphy and his catcher, Patrick Tso, worked well together keeping the Sunnybrae hitters off balance for much of the game. Once again WW featured a balanced attack with seven hits and five walks. George Revock paced WW with two doubles off the fence and a single while driving in four runs. Brian Tso had two hits, scored two runs and two RBI while Michael Radey also drove in two runs with an RBI single up the middle. Thomas Marsh singled and walked and scored two runs. WW looks to go 3-0 when it plays 6-11 on Sunday at 12 noon.

West Windsor got off to an excellent start in Pool Play by beating Lawrence by a score of 13-3 in four innings. Kyle Siegler was dominant on the mound as he gave up two hits and just three unearned runs while fanning three over 3-1/3 innings. The WW offensive attack was relentless, pounding out 12 hits over just three innings. Siegler was also the hitting star of the evening as he drove in five runs with two triples. Brian Tso scored three runs on a hit and two walks while Kevin Murphy and George Revock each had two hits for WW. Revock came on in relief and picked up the last two outs in the fourth.
