WW Hits It Out of the Park at the Aquafina Pitch, Hit and Run Competition!

 
On Sunday, May 16, close to 70 boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 14 competed in the Aquafina Pitch, Hit and Run™ competition. The Pitch, Hit and Run™ competition, sponsored nationally by Aquafina, is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball. The weather was perfect and the competitors did a great job and had a a lot of fun as well. Congratulations to the following winners. Anyone who has not received their ribbon yet will receive it shortly. Thanks to everyone who participated and a special thanks to our volunteers as well.

All the above winners have qualified to move on to the NJ Sectional Competition which will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Oakhurst Township Intermediate school. Registration is at 3:00PM and the competition begins at 3:30. The address is: Ocean Township Intermediate School, 1200 West Park Ave. Ocean NJ 07712.
A few reminders: 
  • All participants must provide a copy of a valid birth certificate or baptismal record for age verification. 
  • A parent or guardian must sign a registration/waiver form
  • All participants will compete in all three elements of the competition with all scores starting at zero
  • All girls will use a softball and follow the girls softball division guidelines; all boys will use a baseball and follow the boys baseball division guidelines
  • No metal spikes are allowed
